Mortise and tenon joinery was used to construct this folding screen which will be used as a family photo "album". The two-way hinges allow the screen to be set up in any configuration.
The arched top and bottom shaping on each screen section is reminiscent of antique photo frames. Tapered legs make the piece look light.
The center arch was created with half-lap joinery. The screen's frames are
poplar and the panels are white pine.This folding screen was delivered unfinished as the customers wished to paint the piece themselves before applying family photos.
