JWS Joinery Bow Front Vanity

The lovely curves of this quarter sawn cherry vanity greet the visitors of a small bath. A bow front corner cabinet is a great way to get the most out of a tiny space as sink bowl size and storage are not compromised.

A matching upper cabinet has beveled mirrored doors and complements the base cabinets with an angled center portion. The 45 degree angle is initialized with slightly inward curved stiles on either side of the small door. This cabinet shape mazimizes useful space on the shelving inside. Custom crown mold balances the size of the cabinets.

A small seat was created for easy access to the tub. Below the seat is a handy storage space for towels. The bath's heater is located in the toe space below the bowed cabinet doors. The white marble floor makes a pristine and luxurious surface under the feet.

Diagonally across the room from the bow front cabinet a small shelf provides additional storage and display space. This shelf is placed high on the wall give headroom above the commode.

The view from the tub is lovely. The coopered cherry doors are a visual pleasure. Below the sink a false drawer front was created with curved laminations. The customer chose brass fixtures and a highly veined marble counter with a matching custom sink bowl which create a delightful contrast to the rich tone of the cherry wood cabinets.
